Join our youth ministry panel of adults and youth as we unpack The Color of Compromise, a book and video series by Jemar Tisby. For three weeks, we will gather online to learn, listen and dialogue about the role the church has played in racism in America and how our youth can be a part of the generation that transforms the church. As we go back to when it started, we will be able to understand how we go to where we are today and perhaps identify different decisions we need to make as future leaders of the church so that we can overcome the evil of racism, starting with Christians.
June 18: Chapters/Videos 1-5 (Slavery + the Church)
June 25: Chapters/Videos 6-8 (Jim Crow + Civil Rights)
July 2: Chapters/Videos: 9-12 (Race Relations in the 21st Century)
The video series is available on RightNow Media and Amazon Prime. If you don’t have access to RighNow Media, you can sign up for a free account through our church subscription. We highly encourage families to watch the series together to begin the dialogue in your homes.
If you are the youth pastor/director of a church who would like your youth group to participate, please contact Pastor Shala for how to connect with the study and ground rules for participants.
